DGL has been instructed by many solicitors to carry out single or joint inspections of properties in disrepair. The appointed solicitors are usually representing tenants of Local Authority or Housing Associations who allege a claim against their client’s landlords for properties in disrepair.
DGL survey the property, identified the defects, issue a report on the defects, and recommend remedial work with budget costs, cross referenced against The Housing Act 2004 and the Housing Health & Rating Safety System. All reports are prepared for the Courts under Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rule as set out by the Ministry of Justice and issued to the instructing Solicitors to assist in claim settlement for their client.
